Blackbox Recording Studios | Edmonton, Alberta | 9 x 20' | Acrylic on panel
After 3.5 years of architecture studies, I celebrate the completion of my M.Arch with...a mural! This was a fun project for Blackbox owner, Steve McGonigle. Indeed I painted a mural for Steve over 13 years ago that was unfortunately destroyed this past spring by flooding. So it feels good to do a new project in his great live recording room once again.
The theme is Alberta landscape from the air, with the two panels representing summer and winter.
You’re looking at it! The new Mulder Studios website. Thank you Rob Butz of Oxygen Smith!
Having worked since 2004 to put this project together, it is with great relief that IT IS FINALLY COMPLETE! We have just installed a 40’ LED curtain behind the glass block element on the front face of the tower. It can be programmed to any one of thousands of colours to glow, pulse, blink, or whatever. It is a dynamic effect and completes the “lantern” look of the structure at night…
